RIGHT...enough Wizard of Oz jokes...back to business!!!
Last night The Western Club hosted the SHARKS vs. TUNA £3000 GUARANTEE, with a £30 Buy In and a 30 Minute clock this was a tasty comp not to be missed!
The weather did it's best to mess up our best laid plans as the beer gardens were full and the smell of bbq's was in the air. But even with this competition from the best mother nature had to offer the club was packed!!!
145 runners in total played this great gimmick tourney where you had to choose to be a SHARK (rock) or a TUNA (fish) for a chance to win some side prizes $25 if a shark made the final table and $250 if a tuna won the whole thing!!
The comp was eventually chopped in the early hours of the morning by Paul Wimbledon and Raphael Augustin both taking £1090 each and Paul taking the $250 with his overall chip lead.
Again our special guaranteed event was a fantastic night, with great feedback from players.
This was our sixth special event this year with over ONE THOUSAND runners competing over the six tourneys!
